I like shopping with my mom. May it be the actual ashopping or just window shopping, I really enjoy spending time with her. And there are the perks too. Like, sometimes she would pay for the item/s I’m getting, or sometimes she pays for lunch. It’s like if I don’t have enough cash, mom is always there. Which is really cool.

We were eating gelato in a small café (Mom got green tea. I got my usual chocolate cherry) when suddenly Mom said the L word.
“Perhaps I should get Life Assurance.”. I was concentrating munching on my cone and said, “why’d you wanna do that?”. Mom had this look on her face, “Well, we have the car insured, and the house, why not myself? At least I know you’ll be ok if something happens to me.”

That’s when I really looked at her. Then I realized that even though shes strong and young looking anything can happen and I wouldn’t know what to do if Mom is no longer around. I suddenly felt tears welling up in my eyes. For her not to noticed, I laughed out loud .But I guess she still noticed. Mom smiled and said it was ok, it’s just a precaution.

“Maybe you should get Life Assurance for yourself too, just to be on the safe side.”

We polished off the remaining cones we had, and continued shopping.

It was already foreseen and studied that they don’t have enough funding on their invest bank asset. How come they didn’t warn the employees about this? What did they do to avoid this crisis? Did they even do something that the result was a complete bankcruptcy. What happened with their plan to raise $3 billion of capital to quash questions about its stability. Was there really a scam? Japanese involved? Swindled?

Questions that needs to be answer and hopefully to revive this huge investment company that affects a lot of other big companies.
